Ski for women

P81

Yesterday I participated in Ski for Women, a fun cross country ski race where the not so serious racers are dressed in costumes.  I was part of the Jacobs Quest for the Holy Grail Team and I played the three headed knight.  So, Friday I made my costume.  I was really happy with how it turned out.

For race day, I put balloons in my extra heads which helped them stay upright.  Surprisingly, it wasn't awkward skiing with two additional heads. Speaking of skiing, once we were on the course the weather was gorgeous with sunshine peeking through the trees.

Zach and Zelda came out to watch.

And Zach caught some of the other costumes while I was skiing.  I really like the sumo geisha team.

The giraffes had been in the paper the day before.  The event was a lot of fun and it was good to get out and ski on such a beautiful day.

Today I tried...

P740

Picking out what to wear to Zach's holiday company party. Lil Z had a sitter - thanks Auntie Karen! - so I wanted to dress up. Here were the options. I went with the last one (everything looks better holding baby Z). After all that my closet now resides in a pile on my dresser. Glad to have options, hate to rehang/iron what I didn't wear, but that's something to worry about tomorrow.

Snow day

(download)

Zach & I got out for some skiing this afternoon. The day was beautiful & I'm glad we went out before the north wind rolled in. It's great we can ski out our front door, loop around the lake & ski up the creek to our backyard.
