we headed about two hours north on saturday with a couple of friends to find some snow and do some cross country skiing. unfortunately, we also found some subzero temperatures, but we endured and had a great time. one big plus of bitterly cold temps are bluebird clear skies. with short days, you really can’t beat a nice blue sky, even if it means frigid temps (check out the frost on those beards! – click photo for larger view).
little z all bundled up doesn’t seem to mind the cold and was ready here to go outside with papa to look at the sled dogs.
it also helped that we had a cozy cabin with a kitchen and access to a hot tub and sauna as well.
and an added bonus for zach was that we skied past a place near and dear to his heart – the volvo graveyard.
